Hope every one is aware that, finally, Bharti and Zain have signed the deal. But looks like there is some sort of confusion with regards to the deal.
Few people have got confused with regards to the African Asset Sale (part business sale) with the earlier (not successful) Group asset sale. Some of them were asking how much have Bharti paid to Zain on "per share basis". Now this is not the right terminology.
Speaking from the investment
point of view, it's not correct to say have much have Bharti (Indian
Co.) paid
per share, as the stakes of entire co. is not involved in the sale. Bharti have bid
only for part business and not the
entire group, unlike in the earlier
case of the previous consortium (of 3 Co.) - (I'll call it 3C)
which bid for the 46%
of the Group.
"The Per Share
Valuation" will come into existence only when the entire business is
been
sold.
So the correct
terminology should be "If Bharti has paid KD XXX for the 60%
of the Business (African Asset contribution to Zain's balance sheet - as a
group),
how much should be the valuation for the entire co. based on this deal ", now this
valuation should be based on the current sale and future prospects of
the
remaining 40% of the company profits.
Based on the current deal i value Zain between KD 1.100 to KD 1.400
Happy Investing!!!
